Cancel Crowd-Pulling Events: Maha CM Thackeray

Mumbai: Worried about the uptick in Covid cases in several parts of the country, Uddhav Thackeray’s main minister on Monday re-urged political parties, social and religious groups to immediately stop all programs that lead to crowding.
The ganpati festival starts from Friday.
Thackeray also led the state disaster management authority meeting in the morning, where there was no decision about the new sidewalk was taken.
“There is no discussion about applying fresh restrictions such as night hours during the ganpati festival.
However, we will continue to monitor the situation,” said Minister of Relief and Rehabilitation Vijay Wadettiwar.
In his appeal, Thackeray said: “We can celebrate the festival later.
Let us first prioritize the life and health of our citizens.
The situation can immediately remember the surge in everyday case.” If people follow all covid-related guidelines issued by the government, no need Imposing any limits, he said.
“Who wants to impose restrictions on the festival and religious programs? But the lives of important people …
the upcoming festive days will be very important and responsibility for political parties to ensure things are not out of control.
So, I beg.
All political parties, including Sena Shiv, to cancel all social and political meetings drawing a large crowd, “he said.
CM say people want to open everything, but they are not aware of the risks that opened with it.
“The third wave of Covid is in front of our door.
Kerala looks at a surge of 30,000 cases every day.
This is a danger signal and if we don’t consider it seriously, Maharashtra must pay a heavy price,” he added.
Senior officials who are part of the meeting of the disaster management authorities said the ministers thought that with the downsizing the ganpati festival, there would be no way people would gather in public places.
For example, all large ganpati mandals have been asked to make arrangements for Darshan directly through the social media platform to prevent physical mandal visits.
They say the state will continue to monitor the situation and if the case continues to soar, they can impose certain restrictions.
But there was no decision taken on Monday.
