Cancer Load is projected to increase by 11% by 2025

Nagpur: Cancer becomes more common and will cause a big health crisis for the country in the next four years, revealing the fact sheet of Maharashtra State Cancer which was recently released by the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) and the National Informatics Center and Research Center (NCCDIR) .
In 2025, new cancer cases tended to 1,30,465, an increase of 11.0% of the incidence of 1.16,121 cases in 2020.

BK Sharma, the Honorary Consultant at the RST Regional Hospital said that Nagpur was the second in Maharashtra after Mumbai where the highest age-adjusted rate (AAR) was recorded per lakh population.

In Nagpur, the highest incidence rate (85.4) was in the age group 0-19.
