Katihar: One Naresh valid has been burned for allegedly not choosing Sanjay Singh, who fought with a ward (10) member in the Pancrayat election held at Krishnanagar (Chittauria) Panchayat in Katathar district on Sunday night.
The victim, belonging to Krishnanagar Village (Baripatna) under the Mansahi police station in the district, was undergoing treatment at Katathar Medical College and Hospital.
Sanjay, along with the other two, allegedly broadcast naresh with gasoline and burn it.
Katihar SP Vikas Kumar on Monday said the incident occurred around 6pm on Sunday.
“Candidate, Sanjay Singh, along with two other people sprinkled gasoline in Naresh’s body and burned it.
The victim suffered burns injured on his face and body parts.
The FIRS has been filed against three people with the Mansahi police station.
One accused of being arrested in this connection,” He said, “Raids was to arrest the rest of the defendant in this case.” Naresh rushed to a conscious hospital where doctors referred him to Katathar Medical College and hospital for care.
“Naresh allegedly opposed Sanjay’s nomination and chose the sake of his opponent,” SP added.
