Nagpur: The theft of the sandalwood tree from the Zonal DCP bungalow Noorul Hasan was conscious on Tuesday it might show more incidents like that because the racket involving wood at high prices is known to be alive in the rainy season.

Last year, around 10 gang members were nabbed and around 60kg-70kg Sandana stolen was restored after the police detected four cases like that.

The sandalwood tree has been stolen in the past also from Maharajbagh, Gorewada, Seminar Hill, Office of the Division Commissioner and other places.

According to insiders, thieves produce from around RS3,000 even as high as RS50,000 per kg depending on quality.
Senior Vacho Inspector from the conscious police station said his team had found potential instructions and tended to be zero on the gang immediately.
“We are working on some information.
Immediately, we can catch the gang,” he said.
