New Delhi: The use of Cannabis is not entirely prohibited in this country because of its medical and scientific use is permitted based on the law, the center has told Delhi HC which, on Monday refused to advance the hearing date that strives to be legalized.
Its use of various reasons including the purpose of treatment.
The bench refused to allow the initial hearing application by the Petitioner of the Indian Legalization Movement of India beliefs which argue that there are reports to show that cannabinoids helps in fighting the impact of Covid-19.
“The application cannot be entertained at this intersection.
We try to do anything possible,” Bench said.
The petition, which was registered for further hearing in March, has challenged narcotics narcotics provisions and psychotropic substances.
“There is no complete ban on marijuana under the NDPS law but can be used for medical and scientific purposes by taking permission from the country,” said the Ministry of Finance.
