Religious: Teacher Training Participants in the Ganjam District helps elementary school students in different villages face difficulties in learning through digital mode.
A total of 174 students of the elementary school teacher education institution (IEEI), Bhanjanagar, taught around 1,730 class II students to VIII in 135 villages in 15 districts, the Principal of Bamadeb Tripathy.
Every student teaches 10 average students.
Classes by Teachers Training participants began on July 15 after the State Council of Education and Training (SCERT) launched the initiative to work with UNICEF, when the school remained closed due to a pandemic.
This will continue until October 10.
The response from students and parents is very good because we got feedback from students and villagers, Tripathy said.
In addition, we interact with our students from time to time, which gave us a clear picture of the class taken by them, he said.
The first and second training participant teachers are teaching students for two hours every day during the day.
The time and place of class was decided by them through consultation with villagers.
They also taught their extra-curricular activities such as sports, games, drawing and painting and giving them homework.
Each teacher training participants will get one-time cash 700 to buy masks, sanitis, sheets of images and paintings.
They will also get a certificate from Scerter and UNICEF after completing the initiative, which is an alternative internship from the teachers who aspire to be high.
“As part of their internship program, trainees should visit the nearest school and teach elementary school students.
With the school closed, their internship will be completed through this alternative system,” he said.
Students who face difficulties because internet problems will benefit from the initiative, Shyam Sundar Kharanga, a retired teacher.
