Nagpur: Branch of Local Crime (LCB) Police Washim intercept mini trucks in Hingoli-Risod Road on Monday with 1,150 kg of marijuana worth more than Rs 3.45 Crore, maybe the biggest in Vidarbha.
The LCB team under the Senior Inspector of Navalkar’s nest has stopped the vehicle following a tip-off.
Squeezers tried to mislead the police by saying that they were heading to Buldhana with poultry feed.
“The poultry feed sack is kept above and which with marijuana is hidden below,” said Pi Nawkar who performed an operation under SP supervision.

“The consignment came from Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
The Washim police arrested four people, including 52-year-old Sable Gotiram, who had a note to peddle narcotics.
“In accordance with the prime facie information, the consignment is intended for various bulldhana talucas,” said Nawalkar.
The violation was registered at the Risod police station where this case would be examined under the guidance of SP Singh.
