Bhopal: In the midst of acute fertilizer in MP, a farmer died by suicide in Ashoknagar and the others tried to commit suicide in the Chhatarpur district on Thursday, it seems because they could not get DAP, the fertilizer needed to sow rabbi plants such as wheat, Mustard and gram.
Farmers have faced the crisis of DAP or at-Ammonium phosphate.
Only five days ago, Agriculture Minister Union Narendra Singh Tomar had recognized shortcomings and suggested that farmers seek alternatives.
Farmer Farm Dhanpal Yadav said he was upset after he didn’t get DAP.
He poisoned on Thursday.
When he was taken to the hospital, he had died.
“His last trim failed and there was no fertilizer for this season,” said Dhanpal Vijay Pal Yadav.
Police said they were investigating this problem.
In Chhatarpur, a female farmer tried to hang himself in the fertilizer warehouse and was saved by other farmers.
He said he had made a warehouse round for days to DAP.
“Every time, I’m told to come back later because there are no fertilizers available,” he said.
