Can’t ‘predict’ when President Biden will call Pakistan PM Imran Khan: White House

Washington: A senior White House official said that he could not “predict” when President Joe Biden would make a call to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan despite high-level involvement between the two countries.
Prime Minister Khan during the recent interview to American media complained that Biden President was “busy” did not bother talking to him even though Washington was looking for Pakistani support in stabilizing Afghanistan.
Replying questions during a daily direction on Monday about whether there might be a call from Biden to Khan immediately, the Secretary of the White House Jen PSAKI said, “I have nothing to predict at this time.
If they call, of course we will read it for all of you Biden.
Responding to this, PSAKI said that the US had been related to a very high level with leaders in Pakistan from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from the Department of Defense, and from the main component of the Biden government.
“The President hasn’t talked to every foreign leader at the moment; it’s true.
But he, of course, has an expert team deployed to do that,” he said.
PSAKI said that the US and Pakistan continue to work together and work on initiatives where we can, clarify where we have worries, but I will not overdo it into leader-to-leader calls in that matter.
“We have a high level of involvement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Defense, and others at this point.” On Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R Sherman would travel to Pakistan next month after his trip to India.
Prime Minister Khan, said that the address of Unga on Friday said that Pakistan was blamed for the turn of events in Afghanistan, by politicians in the United States and several politicians in Europe.
“I want all of them to know, the most separate, apart from Afghanistan, is Pakistan, when we joined the US war with terror after 9/11,” he said.
“Unfortunately, in trying to impose military solutions is the one place wrong,” he said for address.
Khan has a past expressing his disappointment for the reluctance of the US President to talk to him since he came to the office in January this year.
“He is a busy man”, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said briefly about President Biden on September 15.
Khan admitted that he had not spoken with Biden since the government’s collapse.
When asked why Biden did not call him since coming to the office in January, Khan Curtly said: “He is a busy man” and then said Biden must be asked “Why is he too busy to call”.
During interactions with foreign journalists at his residence in August, he said that he was not really “waiting” to call phone calls from Biden.
“I continued to hear that President Biden had not called me.
This is his business.
Not that I am waiting for a phone call,” he said in response to the question.
Khan, who congratulated Biden President in the inauguration and expressed his desire to work with a new American government to deepen bilateral bonds, said that Washington saw Pakistan as “useful” just to clean the “chaos” that had been abandoned in Afghanistan after that 20 years of fighting prefer India when it comes to forming “strategic partnerships”.
