Can’t trust BJP until it really revoked agricultural laws, said TMC Mahua Moitra

Panaji: The leader of the Mahua Moitra Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Friday welcomed the central decision to revoke three controversial agricultural laws, but said that the BJP in power could not be trusted until it really attracted this law in the upcoming parliamentary session.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday morning announced that three agricultural laws would be withdrawn in a parliamentary session which began at the end of this month.
Overcoming a press conference here, member Lok Sabha TMC said no one trusted BJP as “their left hand spoke one thing, while the right hand said something else”.
“The announcement made by PM Narendra Modi to revoke agricultural laws is the victory of farmers in this country …
but until agricultural law is truly revoked in parliament, we cannot say anything,” Moitra said.
He remembered how the BJP minister would maintain the same law when TMC demanded their withdrawal.
Moitra said farmers must protest the road for more than one and a half years to force the government to make announcements about legal revocation.
The central government has made this announcement considering the upcoming election at Uttar Pradesh, and especially 70 seats in the West, he added.
