Cap on Biz HRS removed, traders expect a surge in sales during Dhanteras

HDFC employee Shailesh Tiwa, who has worked at the Bank’s car loan department, said, “Like anything I collected about booking cars from various showrooms, Dhanteras bookings and Diwali will see a leap of around 20%.” The owner of the Gamharia-based Maa Kalyani showroom, R M Kumar, said that bookings for two-wheeled vehicles are expected to rise this year.
The market source has signaled 900 plus bookings for two wheels on the night of Dhanteras.
“Even household appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines and smart TVs in demand this year,” said the national electronics owner based in Sakchi, Raja Singh.
Smartphones, like every year, are very in demand even though middle-class customers go for quite expensive, as Sunny Mishra has, which has a mobile shop in Kadma Market.
Dealer Kitchen Equipment Santosh Gupta said, “Even though the giant e-commerce like Flipkart and Amazon have mushroomed like anything, customers still prefer to buy equipment physically and so on, I expect a good business so far.” Seeing a surge in demand, the trading agency hopes that around Rs 400 Crore will enter the market during the Dhanteras-Diwali period.
“Countries and employees of the central government and business class, together with those who work in private companies, spend their money in buying new items during this period.
So we expect a surge in revenue so far,” Confederations of all Indian traders Suresh Suresh Sonthalia said .
