PATIALA: Former Chairman of the Minister of Punjab and Punjab Congress Supremo Amarinder Singh on Monday submitted a nomination of the Patiala urban chair for the election of assembly of February 20 in Punjab.
He said he was sure of victory because he had an alliance with people in the area for the last three centuries and would definitely form a government with the Allied Party.
Amarinder exchanged a party scarf with the leader BJP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat before submitting a nomination.
He then claimed to have fulfilled the promise of the 2017 Election Manifesto to invest RS 1 Lakh Crore in Punjab.
“Within a period of four and half a year as CM, I gave a job to 22 lakh youth in Punjab,” he said.
Commenting on the political situation, Amarinder said the election could end with the Hung Assembly unless the Punjab people understood the need for a stable government.
“Without the help of BJP in the middle, Punjab will not advance.
Thus, for the progress of Punjab, I made an alliance with BJP.
Punjab has no money even to pay a salary,” Amarinder said.
