Captain Mominul warns Bangladesh despite historic tests

Dhaka: Captain Mominul Haque has warned Bangladesh that they will be trapped as the world number nine test team “all our lives” unless they are more consistent.
Bangladesh won their first test in New Zealand but was destroyed by Inning and 117 Run earlier this week in the second test to draw a series of two matches.
The eight goal of Bangladesh’s goal in the opening exam was only their sixth victory from home in 51 matches.
“We won an overseas test, this was an achievement,” Mominul said in an interview with the Ajker Patrika Bangladesh newspaper on Thursday.
“If we can complete the next test, we will think there is a bigger achievement.” Bangladesh had previously had a sad record of the black hat, which was ranked testing, and was hit by Pakistan at home tests in December even though the rain took almost three days.
But they managed to dominate all five days from the first New Zealand test on Mount Maunganui for a historic victory that experts and cricket nicknamed the “biggest success” in the country.
But Mominul regretted the failure of the team to maintain momentum in the second test.
“We won a test match, we became happy, but suffered self-satisfaction.
This is what I thought of being captain,” he said.
“We might play well in the test or in one round.
The challenge now we have to play well in the two innings, a bowl well in both rounds and rise back.
Just now we will move towards being the first team,” he said.
.
The failure to do so will mean “We will remain the number nine world team throughout our lives”.
Bangladesh will play the next series, against South Africa, in March-April.
