Varanasi: Caregivers of government livestock shelter in the village of Misircur under the boundaries of the Rohania District Police Station were arrested on Monday night because cows and calves were brutally beaten in a drunk place.

Rohania Inspector Harinath Bharti said, “In the complaint of Mirispur Village Chief, Pramod Kumar Singh, a FIR was submitted against the caregiver, Santosh, under Section 11 Prevention of atrocities on the Animal Act on Monday night after a brutal beating video.

“On Monday night, the video where Santosh was seen brutally defeating livestock with sticks to viral on the social media platform after that the user began to demand immediately action against him.
The video also took police officials on their toes.
The village head also swings in action and achieves livestock shelter.
He learned that Santosh beat many cows and calves were drunk.
He gave a written complaint with a video clip to the police.
Bharti said that starting fast action, the police arrested Santosh on Monday night.
