Gurugram: The piracy gang was brought to be carried by the city police on Friday with the arrest of three gang members.
The trio was allegedly used to seize SUVs at the point of weapons and sold them in the former car market in other states, police said.
Gang, according to the police, targets those who travel alone in a stretch of isolated late at night.
His arrest came after the case registered at the Sector 37 police station after a man, Dependently Singh, claimed that he was prohibited from being isolated and his SUV was taken from the sector 37 of the industrial area on August 6, the trio forced him to roll window glass and grab the key.
“They threatened to kill me when I tried to increase the alarm,” Singh said, adding that the defendant drove a SUV to the Toll Road Gurugram-Jaipur.
After scanning several CCTV recording police received several clues and recovered SUVs from the Bhiwani district in Haryana.
The trio was captured by the Sector 31 crime unit from the Khandsa area when they planned to seize another car on Friday.
They were identified as Kuldeep Singh from Bhiwani, Sandeep Kumar from Rohtak and Rahul Singh Hisar.
“Rahul is the mastermind gang.
They used to sell stolen cars in various districts and states.” They used to come to Gurugram just to commit a crime, “said ACP (Crime) Preeting Sangwan.
