Hubballi: Rain who is unrelenting has left the streets well full of holes or damaged.
Drivers, especially two-wheeled riders are the most uncomfortable.
Deepak Shirolikar, a RTI activist, who has struggled for better walks over the years, has now taken the task of repairing roads such as Hubballi-Dharwad.
Irked with bad attitudes and work from HDMC, he said, “I have seen many small accidents occur because of these holes.
I spent a portion of my income.
I carry materials like red land, concrete waste on my two-wheel and patch holes and The road is broken.
“Shirolikar, a real-estate businessman with the profession, said this was the way to protest and he hoped to attract HDMC’s attention.
“I asked HDMC several times to repair the road but it was in vain.
I have told friends to tell me when they find a way in Hubballi who need small repairs and a hole filled.
I have attended around 20 small repairs.
Of course, of course, I can’t fix all the ways in the city will do anything possible, “he said.
Anil Ronimath, a resident in Basaveshwar Nagar, has seen Shirolikar at work at Akshay Park, Basaveshwar Nagar and Akshay Colony.
“The patcwork is highly appreciated,” he said.
Shirolikar said in some places he had locals who lived in the area to join him in repairing or filling holes.
