Carnataka Coast Guard Observing Coastal Cleaning International in Panambur Beach

Mangaluru: Coast Guard Karnataka conducts International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) -2021 in Panambur Beach on Saturday.
Nearly 120 volunteers from Coast Guard, coastal security police, the trust of the new Mangalore port, the security force of the middle industry, customs and excise central participation.
Commissioner MCC Akshy Sridhar was present.
The activity starting at 8 in the morning continued until 10:30 a.m.
in Panambur Beach.
International coastal cleaning is the largest voluntary effort in the world to clean the marine environment.
Worldwide, on the third Saturday of every September, volunteers from various organizations gathered on local beaches to show their commitment to clean the coast and waterways.
Indian Beach Garda (ICG) has coordinated the day of international coastal cleaning in India.
Coastal cleaning is carried out under the direction of the American National Environment Program (UNEP) and the South Asian Cooperative (SACEP) environment in the South Asia region.
The participants removed plastic waste and non-biodegradable materials scattered in Pancur and Tannirbhavi Beach.
The event was supported by MrPL, Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers Union and State Bank of India.
