Bengaluru: Karnataka on Wednesday recorded 1,224 covid-19 cases fresh, took Caseload to 29.42 lakh, while 22 deaths pushed the victim to 37,206.
That day also saw 1,668 people being repatriated, taking the total recovery amount to 28.85,700.
Active case stands at 19,318, said Bulletin Ministry of Health.
Bengaluru Urban contributed the maximum amount of 309 cases and three fatalities, he said.
Dakshina Kannada District which borders Kerala remains the main Covid-19 hotspot with 217 fresh infections and six fatalities.
Other districts also reported new cases, including Udupi 130, MySuru 102, Hassan 95 and Tumakuru 52.
The Gadag district reported zero infection and zero death.
Twenty districts reported zero death, said Bulletin.
As many as 1,95,966 samples were tested in the state on Wednesday, taking the cumulative number of specimens that were examined so far by 4.25 crores.
The number of vaccinations carried out so far in the state rose to 3.83 crores, with 3,36,984 people inoculated on Wednesday, he said.
