Lucknow: The two-day trading festival began here on Tuesday as part of Vaanjya Mahotsav for a week to commemorate the 75th Independence Warning in India.
The State Union Minister for Trade and Industry of Anupriya Patel, who inaugurated this festival, said that the up will be widely represented in Dubai Expo which will come from October 1 where products such as Luckow’s Chikankari and carpets from Bhadohi will be displayed.
The two-day festival is to display various district-one product items such as banarasi sari and perfume from Kannauj.
Patel said that programs such as ‘local for vocals’ and ‘make in India’ have seen Indian exports increased by a large scale even during Covid-19 pandemics.
“The Indian global economy will grow at a level of 6% in the upcoming financial year and global merchandising will increase to 8% by 2021.
In 2020-21, the target of the export center of merchandise was $ 400 billion and in 2027-28, we Will take it to $ 2 trillion, “he said.
Patel said that even though Indian pandemic exports had increased by 67% in the past five months.
Where the central exports in the first five months of last year was $ 98 billion, this year $ 164 billion.
“Before 2017, exports from above is Rs 84,000 Crore, which has increased to Rs 1.21 lakh crore under the current government,” he added.
