Hyderabad: High drama opened on Friday after an unknown person tried to access a laptop remotely used by the investigation commission appointed by the Supreme Court investigating the alleged four meeting accused of rape and murder cases.
The effort came even when the Commission recorded a statement of officials during hearing.
At least two such efforts were made by two IDS – ‘It cell-Sdnr’ and ‘Cid’ which led to suspicion that someone tried to hack the commission database.
The IT team immediately told the Secretary of Commission S Sasidhar Reddy who told the Telangana High Court.
Chairman of Commission, Justice (Retd) V S Sirpurkar also asked for state advice, Uma Maheshwara Rao, to verify IDS details and find out why they access the laptop.
The Supreme Court has appointed the Commission after four men, accused of raping and killing a young veterinarian on the outskirts of Hyderabad, killed in a police meeting in December 2019.
After the efforts of registered intrusion, the Secretary of the Commission was examined by the state police liaison officer, who said several officials of the police department may have tried accessing their unit database from the commission network.
However, the IT team told the secretary that people who tried to get access to a laptop can be done only if they knew that the ID of a particular laptop.
The laptop accommodates the video conference platform where everyone enters.
Justice Sircurkar has attended an audience from Nagpur, while members, Rekha Sondur Baldota and D R Karthikeyan have joined Mumbai and Delhi.
One of the advocates of the Commission, K Parameshwaran, has entered Delhi, while the second adviser, Virupaksha Dattatreya Gouda, has immediately appeared before the Commission from the High Court, along with Secretary, state adviser, other advocates and deponents.
When the computer and IT staff used by the Commission provided by the TELANGANA High Court, the Secretary told the General Registrar and Registrar (IT) of the Court on intrusion.
