Mumbai: The State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) improves extortion cases suspected of commissioner of former Param Police Singh on Monday capturing police inspector Nandkumar Gopale and Assistant Police Inspector Asha Korke.
Gopale has investigated the IPL cricket betting scandal that led to the capture of Gurunath Meiyappan, son-in-law of BCCI N Srinivasan president and the owner of Chennai Super Kings in 2013, Journalist J Dey Murder case, 26/11 cases of terror attacks, and Indian terror cases Mujhadein.
The source said that Gopale and Korke, who were called to record their statements, in the Cid office in the captured.
While Gopale was currently posted in police training in Khandala, Korke’s fire was attached to the local arms division.
