Bengaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted a simultaneous search in seven locations here in connection with the attack on two police stations by a horde last year on suspicion of signal poles on social media, an official said.
The search was made at the location of seven accused accusing accusations of absconding, the official said.
The two cases were registered at the DJ Halli police station and Kg Halli last year after the horde, protested the alleged social media pole accused of the Prophet Muhammad by one Naveen, changed with violence and targeted the police station, police official said.
The masses attacked police personnel, burned vehicle style and damaged the government and private property in and about two police stations, the official said.
Nia reifted the cases and in February filed a charging sheet against 109 and 138 accusing people in connection with their respective attacks on two police stations.
During the search, various burdensome documents and electronic devices were confiscated from the place accused of escaping, Nia official said, added that further investigation was underway.
