Chennai: The Directorate of Precautions and Anti-Corruption on Tuesday Ordered as many as 16 individuals and business companies have been crowned as accused of being together for violations and irregularities carried out in the administration of contracts between 2014 and 2018.
While the tender worth RS 464 Crore was won by the Defendant at Chennai Corporation , Contract worth RS 346.8 Crore bagged by them in Coimbatore Corporation.
DVAC said that while floating and giving this tender, the authorities violated the Tamil Nadu transparency law, transparency in tender regulations, central citizenship commission guidelines and the Tamil Nadu engineering manual.
Violations are also found at the stage of supply, negotiation, and work implementation, DVAC said.

DVAC searches a 13-hour marathon in Mlaas Hostel in Chennai, farmhouses related to Velumani, former officials and current officials of Chennai Corporation such as former head of Engineers M Pugazhendi, Chief Engineer LKS Nandakumar and former Coimbatore Official Corporation Mathuranthangi, Gandhimathi , Lakshmanan, Saravanakumar and Ravi.
The search ended at the end of Tuesday night.
