Pune: Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) Active Covid Caseload on Tuesday down to a new low 1,669, around 22% lower than infection a month ago during the Diwali celebration.
Data from the district health office revealed that the kasel in rural areas was reduced by almost 45% in a period of one month.
The case of Tally within the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) limit fell 28% during the period.
However, active cases in the area under the area of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) recorded a 17% increase of a month ago and reached up to 773.
The count of patients in PMR was around 2,100 on November 1 and continued to hover around 2,000 to the last week of the month this.
The case witnessed a gradual decline over the past 10 days.
Health officials have monitored cases in the district urban and rural pockets.
“The situation in rural areas has increased,” said an official.
Data released by district health workers on Monday (December 7) revealed that the PMC area had a maximum Covid Caseload (773), followed by 557 in rural areas and Cantonese and 339 within the PCMC limit.
Sanjeev Wavre, assistant medical chairman at the PMC health department, said that “the city limits have reported about 50-100 cases a day since the last few days.
There is a slight increase in casel.
But no Ward Civic has reported a significant burst in the case.”
