Vadodara: In less than two months, the number of Covid-19 cases reported in the city has increased from zero to 14.
The number of cases reported in the city has now reached the number reported on June 30 this year.
With the second wave of Covid-19 ebbing in a dramatic manner, the number of cases dropped from the peak of 989 cases on May 7 to zero on October 19.
For four days continuously from October 19 to October 22, the city did not report one case.
On October 23, one case was reported.
Since then the number increases continuously.
Since December 9, two new digits of new cases have been reported.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) officials show that the situation is not too serious because there are almost no serious cases and hospitalizations are also very low.
“Nine patients from Vadodara were hospitalized and there was only one patient in the ventilator,” said an official.
VMC Medical Officer (Health) Dr.
Devesh Patel said that so far there have been no cases of omicron variants have been reported in the city.
“His cases are lost and mostly with a history of travel or found in contact contacts,” he said.
According to Patel, after the first case was reported after the Nile case for several days, it was hoped that more people would test the positive Covid-19.
“There will be some cases, but this might be mild.
We believe that vaccines work,” he said.
As a patient in ventilator support, a total of 10 patients underwent treatment at different city hospitals.
These include three in the ICU, but none of them are in the ventilator.
