Noida: The number of Covid cases in Gautam Buddh Nagar, and Ghaziabad, in the third wave of this month have violated the monthly case number in two districts during the peak of the second wave, according to Covid data since January 2021.
The district saw most cases this month from the beginning Pandemic, with GB Nagar Recording 29,703 and Ghaziabad 25,823 cases until January 28.
This was significantly higher than cases during the second peak of the second wave last year when GB Nagar recorded 18,729 cases in May and 17,358 in April and Ghaziabad 14,167 and 12,540, respectively.
However, last April death and may be much higher than the deaths reported in January.
This month throughout GB Nagar and Ghaziabad have recorded ten and nine deaths, respectively.
During the second wave peak, GB Nagar recorded the highest number of deaths, 213, in April 2021, and Ghaziabad recorded maximum death, 239, in May 2021.
A total of 350 and 340 deaths were reported from GB Nagar and Ghaziabad, respectively, in the two months .
The doctor said while the transmission of the virus was higher now, his death was less than the second wave.
“The number of deaths reported in the third wave of pandemics can be ignored compared to high amounts during the last wave.
Also, most people who are dying in this wave have comorbidity, especially diabetes, cardiopulmonary diseases, etc.
In addition, they are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated,” said Dr.
Ankit Sinha, Pulmonologist Critical Care, Yashoda Hospital, Ghaziabad.
Since July 2021, GB Nagar has not reported one death but Ghaziabad reported one in December 2021.
However, the number has risen in January 2022, with almost one to two deaths reported in the last ten days of a month.
The doctors, however, said that almost no post-covid complication cases since the third wave began.
