Mumbai: A FIR has been listed on a court order on Google, the CEO of Sundar Pichai and five other employees from the company in the case of copyright violations alleged on January 25.
Police MIDC said the case was registered to upload the film – “Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha” on YouTube without a contract or approval of the manufacturer and film director.
The complainant has said he followed up with Google and YouTube officials since 2017 but there was no action taken to remove the film.
Steel Darshan’s producer has accused that he suffered a loss in Crores when the film was flowed on a digital platform with Lakh viewers.
Mumbai Police spokesman DCP Sanjay Latkar said the case was registered based on a court order under the criminal procedure code 156 (3).
Darshan said he filed a complaint in front of the court because Google did not comply with notice.
MIDC police are now planning to publish calls for Sundar Pichai (Google CEO), Gautam Anand (head YouTube), Joe Gries (Grievance Officer), and three Google Namrata Rajkumar employees, Agarwal Pawan, and Chaitanya Prabhu whose names are inside.
