Cash worth ₹ 4.44 lakh recovered

Kanpur: Police Team and Trade Tax Department recovered cash worth 4.44 lakh from the loader at the MP-UP border in Mahaga Regency on Wednesday.
Hearing vehicle checks at the Madhya Pradesh border, the team conducted a restored loader and cash worth of Rs 4.44 lakh.
The loader driver cannot provide evidence of the amount.
Cash has been stored in the treasury and the driver has been asked to provide evidence in a week to claim the same.
Dharmendra Kumar, Commissioner Tax Assistant Commissioner, Mahagi, said that he was examining vehicles with police near the MP border, adjacent to the MP border.
At that time the loader came.
When he saw the police, the driver tried to escape after taking U-turn.
However, after a brief pursuit, the police arrested the driver and during the vehicle cabin search, the bundle wrapped in paper was found.
When opening it, cash worth Rs 4.44 lakh recovered.
The driver said that he had to give this money to a businessman at Generanij, Kanpur.
on the border MP.
“He said that he often went to Mahaba from Kanpur through the same route,” the official said.
According to the assistant Commissioner, the receipt has been given to the driver after depositing cash in the treasury.
Further actions will be taken on the basis of evidence.
