Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nith Kumar on Thursday said he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday with the delegation of Bihar leaders of different parties to discuss the issue of caste-based census.
“Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and representatives of other parties, including the BJP, will accompany me.
BJP is finishing the names of the leaders who will be part of the delegation,” said Nitish while talking to reporters at the Raj Bhavan here after a meeting with Governor Phagu Chauhan.
The meeting with the Prime Minister will be held at 11 am, Nitish said, adding that the confirmation of the meeting was to come on Wednesday.
“A delegation from all parties will urge the Prime Minister to census-based caste in this country.
The leaders of the opposition parties have asked me to seek an appointment with the Prime Minister during a session of the monsoons that have recently deduced from the state legislature.
I have accepted their proposal and an appointment with the PM sought .

State Assembly unanimously passed a resolution supporting the caste-based census in the year 2019 and 2020.
Nitish argued that caste-based census in the interests of everyone.
Tejashwi also wrote to the Prime Minister on this issue.
