Causes of Tardeo Highrise Fire Unknown: Probe

Mumbai: In a rare example in the past, Mumbai Fire Brigade, investigated the API on January 22 at Tardeo Highrise which killed nine months ago, concluded the reasons ‘unknown’.
Blaze erupted around 7:30 a.m.
at Sachinam Heights, opposite the Bhatia Hospital, at Gowalia Tank.
The fire officer ruled out the possibility because of a short circuit, chemical or combustion reaction, which several causes, was examined thoroughly when the investigation was carried out.
The damaged circuit on the channel on the 19th floor was believed to be the cause but firefighters said they found that the cable was intact.
A civilian official said there were no eyewitnesses to ensure where the fire began.
In general, at least one eyewitness told the official where the fire erupted.
After the fire team removed the short circuit as a cause, to ensure they asked the head of the electrical inspector and civil engineer engineer of the mechanical and electricity department to examine it.
Both of them did not conclude that fire was caused by a short circuit.
Civil officials said the main circuit breaker was checked to find if stumbling occurred.
“Therefore, we conclude the cause of the blaze is unknown,” said an official.
The fire report will be submitted to the police, which registered an accidental case of death.
The fire report was also handed over to the committee led by a city deputy commissioner, who also investigated the incident.
The reference provisions provided to the Committee include ensuring the cause of the fire, the reason for the spread, and checking illegal additional, changes in the building.
Now the cause of the fire is confirmed and the report submitted to the final report committee on disaster is likely to be submitted to the BMC commissioner this week.
