New Delhi: The CBI has submitted the FIR against Pranaav Gupta and Vineet Gupta, Co-Founders of Ashoka University, in connection with the case of alleged bank fraud RS 1,626 Crore involving a satellite dish based on chandigarh parabolic company.
This case was registered on December 31.
Apart from the duo, FIR named the other 10, including the company, as accused.
Another defendant named in Fir is DEEPALI GUPTA, Rama Gupta, Jagjit Singh Chahal, Sanjeev Kumar, Vandana Singla, Ishrat Gill, J D Gupta and T n Goyal and Nirmal Bansal.
Allegations are related to deceiving Indian central banks and 11 other banks.
The defendant was suspected of utilizing a large loan and diverting funds when using fake documents, the body said.
The defendant had been ordered under Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 463 (forgery) IPC.
FIR was followed by a raid where the burdensome document, the article and almost Rs 1.6 crore cash was found in the raid, the CBI said.
Agency can move for arrest in this case immediately, the source said.
The Ashoka University website shows Vineet as the founder and trustee and pranav as the founder.
