CBSE is looking for vaccination data from school

Nagpur: Central Education Council (CBSE) has directed all schools affiliated to provide details about the vaccination status of all staff members.
The Board has provided schools until July 22 to submit this data online as part of the exercise called “School Vaccination Information System”.
The circular issued on Friday by the Secretary of the Tripathi Anurag Council clearly stated that CBSE had urged school to encourage vaccination between staff members.
“In the continuation of efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19, the government has emphasized the vaccination of priority groups, including teaching staff and non-teaching at school,” reading a circle.
Tripathi added that CBSE through various circulars and activities, has brought various government initiatives to the principal and has encouraged that this can be brought to pay attention to all teachers, students and staff of school members, including the deployment of messages about the appropriate behavioral campaign Covid ‘Jan Andolan’.
CBSE now seems to want to take a direct stock of the situation because it has provided schools only until Thursday to fill in details online.
Special tabs have been made on websites regarding vaccination details.
The school must then enter using registered IDs and passwords and contents details.
Schools must categorize their staff members into three categories.
It will begin with the staff who are fully vaccinated, then those who only take the first dose and end with those who have not taken the first dose.
Many academics speculate that CBSE collects data also to be able to form upcoming SOPs and even plan to do physical examinations.
Although CBSE’s circular does not mention the intended use, in addition to only having information about vaccinated staff, a Senior Principal said that the policy of a safe and physical class behavior can contain clauses in vaccination.
“Maybe a fully vaccinated teacher must have a priority over other staff for various things.
It can almost be like a ‘vaccine passport’ where only these teachers are allowed to return on campus, which means they get a higher salary etc.,” said the head school.
