CBSE test term 1 in the MCQ pattern to include 50% syllabus

Secondary Education Council (CBSE) has decided to conduct a class X and XII examinations in the MCQ format, which will be held in November-December 2021, where 50% of the syllabus will be included.
The CBSE will use a combination of intelligent character recognition techniques (ICR) and Mark Optical (OMR) to evaluate the performance of students in the MCQ pattern exam.
Speaking to the education period, Joseph Emanuel, Director, CBSIC (Academics), said, “Subjective and objective questions serve two different goals.

The decision to have two term CBSE council tests was taken by the government to help students handle disorders in the class due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The Board has announced to conduct examinations in two parts based on bifurcation syllabus for class 9-12.
“The type of MCQ saves a lot of evaluation time, so this pattern in medium-term examination is being followed.
This will allow more time teachers to focus on taking classes.
The use of technology for evaluation has been introduced on the basis of the pilot.

The main purpose of this exam is to test children’s analytical skills, but the aim is to help students.
