Kolkata: One Mark Short 500, Arcisan Bandyopadhyay from South Point High School is probably the highest scorer of CBSE XII this year in this country.
This is the second time this year that Bengal witnessed such achievements; The first was a few days ago when a higher secondary result was declared and the rumana Sultana from Kandi at Murshidabad stopped the perfect score with just a sign.
South Point, celebrating Arcisan’s achievements, will soon see it when he goes to the US to study mathematics as a major intended at the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota.
He pocketed into six of our universities who had a good reputation but chose this campus because of the high global rankings.
“I want to stay in academics and pursue mathematics in a higher study,” he said.
Not too far behind was Megha Abedin, who topped the DPS Ruby Park with 99.2%.
It was a very proud moment for him because he came from the humanities flow and got a score much higher than the rest of the score approaching from the flow of science.
“I want to stay back in Kolkata and study history in the presidency or JU and then prepare for my civil service exam,” he said.
Nearly 47% of candidates from Ruby Park DPS have scored above 90%.
Abedin’s high score was distributed by Lokesh Somani from a trading stream at the Birla High School and Sanchit Mukherjee from the flow of science at BDM International School.
Trade students have reportedly have been better than those from two other streams in the High School Birla.
“I am looking forward to studying economic honors at Delhi University, if I get a chair there.
Learning experience in Delhi will give me confidence.
The application process will begin on August 2,” Lokesh said.
With 56 boys placed above 95%, the school is very happy.
Kulshreshtha’s rituation has topped up his school, Shri Shikshayatan, scored 99% in science.
“My dream is learning computer science engineering at IIT Kharagpur.
I have written The Jee Mains and I hope to sit for Jee Advanced too,” he said.
Many schools are happy that while traditionally believe that most toppers come from science or trade, some of the humanities have pocketed the top slot.
Ronjinee Chattopadhyay from Humanities Stream at BDM International has scored 99%.
“I want to study sociology and will register at the University of Jadavpur, St Xavier’s college presidency and Lecture.
I don’t want to leave the city first.
I’m not sure about what I want to do after graduating and I hope the next three years will help me strengthen my plans, “He said.
In Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, also, the Humanities Pipped Commerce and Science this time, such as Sakshi Singhania topped a school with 98.4%.
The school has 49 students in the 95-Plus category.
