CCTV Camera in Outer Ring Road in 20 days

Bengaluru: BBMP has decided to install CCTV cameras in the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in 20 days especially to monitor violators who deviate to the bus priority path and cycle lanes.
At stakeholder meetings chaired by additional head secretaries (electronic department, biotechnology of information and science & technology) EV Ramana Reddy on Saturday, BBMP officials promised to repair CCTV cameras from silk boards and low intersections in 15 to 20 days.
Private vehicles that go into the bus priority lane and the cycle path will be punished.
Towing services will be accelerated by traffic police and breakdown vehicles will soon be deleted.
While the lane of the bus priority between the central silk board and Kr Puram on Orr was launched in November 2019, a bicycle path provided along several parts of its service road in 2020.
Meeting with representatives from various government departments, the Company’s Ring Company Association (ORRCA) and who Others were held to facilitate Metro Namma’s work on ORR.
BarriCades Metro Namma and the bus lane have shrunk the width of the road and causing traffic jams.
The government recently advised IT companies to ORR to extend work-from-house (WFH) systems until December 2022 to facilitate metro construction.
Orrca has urged a smooth traffic in the open track and the bus lane during work.
“In the case of spots where the open path is blocked for construction, traffic police and Marshal OrrCA will open the bus lane for all to ensure a smooth traffic movement.
BMTC will provide an action plan to manage such situations,” said Minutes of Meetings.
Orrca has been urgent for the 12/20-seater bus company to be allowed on the bus lane.
Although the government has decided to allow all buses to access priority paths, official orders have not yet arrived.
BMTC will provide a bus ahead of companies based on request.
However, the company will look at the staggering timings and travel employees.
BMRCL will come with a pedestrian crossing plan during metro construction.
All holes along ORR will be repaired by BBMP and BMRCL while the ORRCA will monitor and send reports on the crater for correction.
Bollard which is damaged along the priority route of the bus will be replaced.
Krishna Kumar Gowda, Operational Manager, ORRCA, said: “The focus is to ensure smooth traffic on ORR and the company brings employees back to the office.
OrrCA will work with members of the Member to regulate a harmonious approach to the transit of employees in ORR through this construction phase.
“The meeting between the monthly department will also be held to monitor infrastructure activities on ORR.
The next coordination meeting is in October.
