CDFD Study Finds Novel Markers at T’Gana POPN

Hyderabad: A new study, led by the DNA fingerprint and diagnostic center, has found a new marker in the Population of Telangana who can help solve crime, settle down disputes and identification of fathers during the disaster.
Scientists from CDFD and some forensic laboratories in this country have conducted a study of the population of five Indian countries to determine the relevance of certain genes forensic genes.
The study also confirmed the previous findings that the Telangana population was much closer to the Madhya Pradesh population.
Research papers, ‘Significance Assessment and Forensic Relevance of Locus SE33 (ACTB) in five Indian populations’ was published recently in the journal ‘Gene Reports’.
Varsha Srivastava, one of the writers who contributed to the Telangana population analysis said, TOI, “Genome’s profile is a signature profile of individuals or populations because DNA fingerprints provide a series of unique patterns.” Probability of matching profiles with other sources is always unique and therefore can be used to establish the person’s identity.
“DNA databases can help not only in police investigations and forensic identification goals but also in evolutionary studies,” he added.
SE33 is a potential marker for human identification, especially to solve paternity disputes and mixed sample analysis.
“Different populations of Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan experienced an analysis.
Overall, 1,400 blood samples from individuals who are not randomly related from various regions in these countries are collected for analysis.
The genotype sample and learned for variability Alelic markers.
Statistical data is also compared to the population of countries such as Malayasia, Portugal, Bahrain and Columbia.
The highest genetic variability is reported in the Malaysian population, “Varsha added.
The highest genetic diversity was found in the Himachal Pradesh population, while the least found in Rajasthan.
Allele-19 (a variant gene form), is the most frequent allele for the Telangana population making it a good choice for forensic applications and genealogy studies, “he added.
In Telangana, around 305 samples, mostly taken from the community of God and Muslims, genotypes and genotypes and Muslims, genotypes and evaluated for alleles diversity and statistical parameters for SE33 markers.
