New Delhi: Head of Economic Advisor (CEA) Krishnamurthy Subramanian said on Friday that he had decided to return to Academia after completing a three-year term in the Ministry of Finance.
“I have decided to return to Academia after the completion of my three-year tenure that meets as CEA.
To get the chance to serve someone’s nation is an absolute privilege!” Subramanian said, while announcing the decision of his surprise on Twitter.
In 2018, the center has appointed Subramanian, a professor associate in the Indian business school based in Hyderabad as CEA.
His appointment, for three years, came almost six months after Arvind Subramanian dropped.
At 47 years, Krishnamurthy Subramanian is one of the youngest for designated for the post.
“It’s fun to work with @subramaniankri (subramanian).
His academic brilliance, a unique perspective on the main economy and the issue of policy and the spirit of reformist should be considered.
Hopefully he is the best for the future,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tweeted.
His decision to return to academics coming when working on a crucial economic survey will begin.
Documents, economic reports cards, are prepared at the cost of CEA.

He will complete his term of office in December.
