‘Celebrate Bakrid at home with Kin, avoid meetings’

Patna: With the intention of avoiding major churches, mass prayers will not be offered at Gandhi Maidan or ‘Edgah’ (Open Place ‘(open’ Namaz ‘offered by Muslims) in the State Capital on Wednesday.
This is the second year in a row -Turut when Covid’s related restrictions will be imposed on worshipers during the celebration of Bakrid.
Mahmood Alam, President of the Committee of Namaz Eidan, told reporters on Monday that the state government had urged people to follow the Covid Safety Protocol by offering prayers at home to load The deployment of the deadly virus.
“Nearly 15,000 worshipers gathered in Gandhi Maidan for offering bakrid prayers every year,” he said.
The mosque will also be closed during the celebration because the government has not allowed religious places to reopen after a covid induced locker.
Sharia Immarit Muslim religious agencies that have jurisdiction over Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha, also ask for the people worshipers to celebrate bakrides at home with family members.
His General Secretary, Maulana Shibli Al Qasami, said, “Shaking hands and hugs must be avoided and social distance is maintained during the celebration.” Quasami advised Muslims to “maintain cleanliness while offering ‘Qurbani’ (ritual sacrifice) and disposing of waste at designated points”.
“Don’t do rituals on the road or road.
Celebrate the festival with peace and adoption of behavior that matches Covid,” he added.
DM suggestions for peace celebrations: District judge Saran (DM) Nilesh Ramchandra Deore has directed the authorities concerned to ensure that bakrides are celebrated peacefully on Wednesday.
The state government has imposed a ban on major meetings in holy places until August 6 considering the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
DM told this newspaper on Monday, “Because the holy month Shravan will soon begin, officials have been asked to oversee the bus stop and train station and ensure that Covid security norms are followed during Kanwar Yatra.” SP Santosh Kumar has also directed the police to remain vigilant and made functional district control room.
