JaLandhar: After Bishop Franco Mulakkal, was accused of the case of Nun Rape, released by the Kottayam session court on Friday morning, the celebration was held before the priests in Jalandhar’s diocese.

Great reception was being planned to welcome Mulakkal on his arrival here in a few days.
Banners with slogans “Franco Zindabad” are displayed in the bishop’s house complex and the same slogan is also raised as soon as the exemption is spoken.
Some women also gathered there, raised slogans for the release of bishops, and participated in the celebration.
Father Jose, a senior priest, who was present at the bishop’s house during the celebration, said that they were all very happy and grateful to Jesus Christ.
“It was a gloomy time for all.
When Franco Mulakkal will arrive here in a few days we will also arrange acceptance for him and we also wait that the administrative power will be returned to him immediately,” he said.
Bishop Mulakkal Advice here, Advocate Mandeeep Sachdeva said the bishop was wrongly accused of crime and now they stand justified.
“We have said since the first day that he is innocent and now the court has proven that,” he said.
Pope Francis has relieved Temporary Bishop Franco Mulakkal’s pastoral responsibility in September 2018 after he was ordered in the case of Nun Rape.
The Pope has appointed Bishop Agnelo Rufino Gracias, Bishop Help Emeritus Archdiocese of the Great Bombay as an Apostolic Administrator in the Diocese.
Gracias was at the bishop’s house on Thursday but he did not come out in the complex when the release was celebrated.
