Jammu: The Department of Tourism Jammu cooperates with Shri Mata Vaishno The Devi Temple Board has been preparing to hold an annual Navratra Festival 2021 in Katra from 7-15 October amid Covid Compliance -19 SOPs that are strictly along with restrictions on various activities.
The show, to promote pilgrimage tourism in J & K, the Navratra Festival began in 1996 and the event has achieved international fame and popularity for years but cannot be held last year due to Covid-19.
This year, the administration has decided to set it on a limited scale, due to the fact that a large number of people have been vaccinated and people still have to observe the appropriate Covid behavior (taxi) because it is felt that the annual tradition must be maintained, officials said.

Raghav Langer said that this festival has a very large significance but still views the covid pandemic, administration with active involvement of all stakeholders such as the Shri Eye Vaishno Department of Temple, Tourism Department, Administration of the Regulation District, Transporter , Travelers, event organizers, civil society, have decided to celebrate a limited scale festival to maintain tradition and inheritance.
He also informed that all activities had been planned to look at the pandemic of many routine events, which involved public weight involves, they had been restricted.
Many events have been redesigned to minimize public meetings.
Deputy Commissioner of Relates, while providing details, notifies that unlike past practices, Shobha Yatra will only be issued in the first and last Navratra to avoid public meetings, while the performance of the devotional song will be hosted for two days, not a national level competition for 8 day.
The drama ‘Ki Kahani’ will be presented by the Theater Group of Naterrang in the auditorium of a spiritual growth center with a limited audience.
This event will also get a telecast in different locations through the LED screen to avoid large meetings in one place and to ensure that the number of larger people can witness their own performance.
However, Prabhat Pheri will continue for 8 days from the bus stand which includes Darshani Deodi to Raghunath Temple and Bhumika Temple.
The festival will be inaugurated from the Hotel Surya Palace on October 7, at 11 am.
A Yatra Shobha will be taken out of the venue to Fountain Chowk, Katra.
It was told that the multimedia cultural and exhibition program will be held in the High School Katra, the appearance of reflection songs in Yog Ashram Ground, Bhagvat Katha from 8 to 15 October at Shri Raghunath Temple Katra, Kavi Samellan and Hassaya Samellan in High School Katra 11 and 12 October, respectively, the Wrestling Competition on October 10 in Katra Stadium, program with special children on October 13 in Katra Spiritual Growth Center.
Further required that the Administration of the Regulation and Shri Eyes Vaishno Council Council has made a complicated arrangement for Navratras in Katra and along the old lane for a comfortable and unforgettable Yatra.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anshul Garg informed that three events were being held in the district of Jammu for tourists and the Jammair people and Kashmir to create a party atmosphere.
Gharba and Dandia Night will be held at Gulshan Ground Jammu on October 9, Dogri food festival and traditional costume / clothing display competitions in Jammu Haat on October 10, Ki Bhaint’s eyes (Jagran) in Raghunath Bazar on October 13.
