Legendary historians and Padma Vibhushan Babasaheb Purandare died on Monday at the age of 99 years.
According to a report, Purandare Babasaheb is in the support of a ventilator at a private hospital in Pune after being accepted a few days ago due to diseases related to age.
Minister of Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced the country’s funeral for Babasaheb.
Taking to Twitter handle her, Thackeray wrote, “शिवचिंतनात रमलेला असा शिवआराधक शोधून सापडणार नाही.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended condolences at the death of Purandare Babasaheb.
He tweeted, “I hurt beyond the words.
Shivshah’s death Babasaheb Purandare leaves a big emptiness in the world of history and culture.
