Akshay Kumar, who celebrated his birthday today, lost his mother Aruna Bhatia on Wednesday morning.
He was hospitalized in Mumbai and the actor rushed back from London for his sick mother.
Akshay told fans about his mother’s death on social media.
He wrote, “he is my core.
And today I feel an irresistible pain at the core of my existence.
Maa I smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today and reunited with my father in another world.
I respect your prayers When my family and I underwent this period.

Because of his mother’s death, his friends from the industry had arrived at his home to offer condolences.
On Thursday afternoon, Karan Johar, Sidharth Malhotra, Malaika Arora and Abbas-Mastan were clicked outside the Akshay residence.

The last rite of his mother was held in the crematorium in Mumbai.
It was attended by Riteish Deshmukh, Rohit Shetty, Bhushan Kumar and others.
Then on that day, Akshay was seen attending the director of his ‘Atali Re’, Aand Lak, who also died on the same day.
Meanwhile, Akshay posted a photo with his mother today when he remembered his birthday.
In the picture, his mother could be seen planting a sweet kiss on his cheek.
Along with the picture, he wrote, “will never like it this way but of course the mother sings happy birthday to me from there! Thank you to each of you for condolences and hope the same.
Life continues to pass.”
Akshay was filming for ‘Cinderella’ in London before returning to Mumbai.
