Gurgaon: To assess the quality of water in the villages, the Department of Public Health Engineering marks a water testing van in the city on Tuesday.
Drive testing will continue until August 30.
Drive water testing starts from the Pataudi block on Tuesday and officials say that seven to eight villages will be closed every day.
Van testing will include Khanpur, Ransika, Mirkpur, Chavan, Mirzapur, Mandpura, Devlawas, Sherpura, Dadawas etc.
Officials say that mobile testing water is modern technology that can be used for testing in remote areas.
“At any epidemic or health crisis, Van This phone can be converted into a water testing laboratory that is placed to ensure water quality.
It is beneficial especially in villages and remote areas where water testing facilities are limited,” said a district administrative official.
Officials said that water testing through cellular vans was part of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Jal Jeevan mission, which aims to provide tap water to rural households in 2024.
“Water will be tested based on nine parameters – total dissolved solids (TDS), turbidity , hardness, iron, fluoride, hydrogen potential (pH), nitrate, sulfate and zinc.
We will discuss all villages in the city and will also increase awareness about water conservation, “said Assistant Lab Sunny Kumar.
