Hyderabad: The center on Thursday blamed Telangana because he dragged his feet to rebuild all Ramappa Temple including the buffer zone according to the Norma World Heritage Committee (WHC) to meet the December 2022 Temple.
The temple won the UNESCO Heritage Heritage Monument tag.
The center in a written statement in the presence of the High Court said the country had not formed the authority of the development of a special area of Palampet and even two adjacent temples along with their land had not been transferred to the Indian Archaeological Survey (ASI) to allow for the buffer zone.
“Even the work to protect the architecture of the temple and lake around the Ramappa Temple has not yet begun,” said the Assistant General Lawyer Nakavarapu Rajeswara Rao.
“This country argues that this will be carried out by the Palampet Special Authority after it was formed in September 2022.
It was only two months before the WHC deadline,” ASG said in the status report equipped with HC.
“It is very important to develop the surrounding and protect the temple together with his inheritance to maintain the status of the prestigious world heritage from the temple,” said Asg Rao in his report.
Last year, according to the suggestions made by Telangana HC, the state and the center had formed a joint committee to develop the temple and made it in accordance with WHC norms.
Giving HC direction about work so far, ASG said the Director General of ASI has held a virtual meeting on December 16 last year with various state and central authorities.
The country was asked to accelerate the process of establishing a separate development authority in the palampet where the temple was located.
ASI said it was worried about the big time taken by the state to form a special authority of Palampet and asked the state to allow the legacy of Kakatiya to believe together with conservation conservation to prepare the inheritance inventory.
Both the center and the state must jointly convey the status on the status to WHC on December 1, 2022.
