Bhubaneswar: The center on Thursday approved the extension of the Chief of Semeksh Chandra Mohapatra’s secretary head for a period of six months of exceeding its nominee.
The Department of Personnel and Training of the Government Government has made official communication to the state government in this regard.
Mohapatra, an IAS 1986-batch officer, who has served as the Head of the State Bureaucracy since December 2020, is scheduled to retire on February 28.
Previously on December 31, the state government had searched for an extension of Mohapatra’s ownership.
The source said the extension was sought in the third wave view of the Covid-19 pandemic and the next Pancrayat poll in the state.
