Hyderabad: Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao accused the center of conspiring to privatize Singareni Colliaries Company Limited (SCCL) in Telangana which will produce the disappearance of the company.
He said SCCL was a big asset for Telangana and States people would give a reply to BJP for their actions to privatize Singareni.
He said, “This (privatization) is not only discrimination against SCCL, it is discrimination against the country of Telangana and its people.
Telanangan people will teach lessons to BJP if they do not stop this conspiracy.” “SCCCL is not just a coal mine but a gold mine that gives work to thousands of youth Telangana.
Singareni employees and the People of Telangana will show their strength in Delhi if BJP continues its efforts to privatize the company.
This agitation will be far greater than the agitation that is performed on the three laws – agriculture, “KTR said in a letter to the Coal Minister and Joshi Prahlad mine on Monday.
While demanding the allocation of coal mines directly to Singareni, he said that the leaders of Telangana will support SCCL employees in the fight against BJP.
Taking a strong objection to the central proposal to auction four blocks SCCL, the minister said that the center was not auctioned only four Singareni mines, but auctioned by the life of Singareni workers on the open market.
KTR expressed anger asking SCCL to participate in auctions for JBROC-3, KK-6, Shravana Pally OC, coal coyagudem mine instead of allocating it directly to the company.
“Why is the coal mine not allocated to SCCL directly on the lignite mine stripes allocated to Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation in Gujarat? Under BJP governance, there is one rule for Gujarat and other rules for Telangana.
Is Telangana not part of India?” He asked.
“This center should allocate a coal mine to strengthen Singareni which produces profits.
Instead, the center asks the company to take part in the auction for mine.
This is nothing but creating obstacles to Telangana and its development,” said.
The minister said the center planned to encourage Singareni to be a loss and then privatize it.
“Likewise, in Andhra Pradesh, the iron ore mine needed for vizag steel mills is not provided, which causes plant losses, and that plants will soon be privatized.
About 27 request letters related to steel mills are still delayed by the Government Government,” he said.
