New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday alleged that the center had disrupted the work of the Delhi government through the Governor of Lieutenant, and described it as a “killing of democracy”.
He said the city government had decided that the lawyer panel would be a public prosecutor in terms of trials related to the protest of farmers and it was only under the scope of the Delhi government only.
“The appointment of a lawyer is under the scope of the Delhi government.
LG can only give his opinion on the decision of the Delhi government in rare cases,” he said.
“The Supreme Court has defined the use of this veto power by LG.
Delivery of home doors and trials related to the protest farmers are not the rarest of rare cases.
This power cannot be used left, right and central.
This is a murder of democracy,” he accused at online press conferences.
