Hyderabad: The Ministry of Union Jal Shakti on Sunday appointed four senior officials of the Central Air Commission (CWC) as the main engineer of the Krishna and Godavari river board.
While the MK Sinha and GK Agarwal from CWC-New Delhi have been prioritized to the GODAVARI RIVER Council, TK Sivarajan from CWC-Coimbatore and Anupam Prasad from Lucknow-based Upper Upper Basin Organization has been posted to the Krishna River Management Board.
Officials have been directed to report to their respective chairmen and immediately take over.
“The main engineers will help the chairman and ensure the smoothness of taking over the project mentioned in the Gazette notification issued by the ministry.
They must approve the highest priority on the implementation of notifications.
Even though the officers are prioritized to their respective councils, they will enjoy the full authority of their status In the notice, “Jal Shakti Ministry’s notification.
The ministry also called the Chairman of the River Council – MP Singh (KRMB) and J Chandrasekhar Iyer (GRMB) – to New Delhi on Monday to discuss the steps needed for the implementation of sheets.
The center, in the notification issued in July, said Gazettes will come into force starting October 14.
The chairman has held a full board meeting, which consists of the heads and secretaries of the Department of Water Resources Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and seek cooperation from countries for the smooth implementation of notifications.

However, the Board chairman has asked the AP to submit project details without waiting for amendments because the deadline for notification is only a month.
They also convinced the state government that they would apply amendments issued by the center.
