Shajapur: Civil Aviation Ministers Union Jyotiraditya Scindia said the central government would make all efforts, such as those carried out in ‘Vande Bharat Mission’, to bring back Indian citizens from Afghanistan, who had witnessed a Taliban militant group.
Vande Bharat’s mission was carried out last year to bring back Indians stranded in foreign countries after suspension of regular international flights that followed the results of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The Indian government will bring its citizens to return to their homes from Afghanistan, as we did in the mission of Vande Bharat, through the Air Indian aircraft and Indian Air Force (IAF), which is possible,” Scindia told reporters Tuesday night in Shajapur Madhya Pradesh , where he reached as part of ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’.
Scindia said the Government government had begun the evacuation from Afghanistan last Friday.
“The evacuation process continues for three days.
However, when a flight will take off on Sunday, Notoam (notice to remind pilots of aircraft from the potential dangers along the flight route) received after a shot shot at Kabul Airport,” he said.
Following the Notam, the airspace of the Kabul is closed, so the evacuation process is hampered on Monday, the Minister said.
Then, the IAF plane went to Kabul on Tuesday and brought back Indian citizens, he said.
“We will leave without stone missed to bring back all our citizens from Afghanistan.
We have done it before under the mission of Vande Bharat,” Minister said.
After starting ‘Jan Asirwad Yatra’ from the Dewas district on Tuesday morning, Scindia reached Shajapur late at night.
As part of a tour, various union ministers who have just been appointed reaching people and told them about the central welfare scheme.
Besides Scindia, Union Minister S Singh Baghel also toured the Gwalior District on Tuesday.
