Noida: The center has decided to establish a world-class institute in Noida near Delhi which will offer postgraduate courses and doctors in the history of art, conservation, musiology and archeology, cultural minister Gishan Reddy.
‘Institute of Heritage India’ will have an impact on higher education and research in the fields related to the country’s rich inheritance and conservation, Reddy told Lok Sabha on Monday.
“The Indian Heritage Institute will offer a Masters and Ph.D course in the history of art, conservation, musiology, archive studies, archeology, prevention conservation, epigraphy and numismatic, manungptology and conservation training facilities for employees in service and Indian Heritage Institute students,” he said In a written reply.
He said the Institute was being established as “considered a university” by integrating the Institute of Archeology (PT Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute Archaeology), the archive study school under the National Archives of India, New Delhi, the National Research Laboratory for Property Culture Conservation (NRLC), Lucknow, National Museum of Institute of Art, Conservation and Museology (NMichm) and Indira Gandhi Art Center Academic Wings (Igna), New Delhi.

This will be a variety of schools from the Institute, Reddy said.
“The Indian Institute of Heritage will be a world-class university that will focus on conservation and research in rich Indian inheritance, while offering research, development, and spreading knowledge, excellence in student education and activities related to the inheritance contribute to cultural life , Indian scientific and economy, “he said.
“This will be an independent institution of its kind in this country,” he added.
